Worth reading first: how we assess applications. The written answers are the assessment. They carry far more weight than your transcript. Litigation trainee and paralegal applicants sit the same questions and are scored the same way.

About you

Your IC details are used only to prepare an offer letter if you are successful. They form no part of the assessment and are not seen by the scoring step.

Cohorts start on a Monday and the programme runs a month at a time, so pick the first Monday you could begin. If you are not sure, pick the earliest Monday that could work and tell us in the last question.

Your institution, qualification (LLB, CLP, Bar, LLM) and the year you completed or expect to complete. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Before you begin

The assessment is timed.

  • 40 minutes for all eleven questions. It is deliberately tight. Answer, do not polish. The clock starts when you press Begin and cannot be paused.
  • Copy and paste are disabled. You will need to type your answers.
  • There is no save-and-return. If you close this page you lose your answers.
  • Have your resume on this device. Attach it above before you start. The clock does not stop while you look for a file.
  • Find somewhere quiet first. Fill in your details above before you start the clock.

If the clock runs out you can still submit what you have written. We will see that time ran out and read your answers accordingly. An unfinished honest attempt is worth more to us than a polished one that is not yours.
